The engine of the Star 4-Stroke, designed and built entirely by LML, is a vertical single-cylinder, 2-valve unit with a single overhead camshaft and forced air cooling. As well as an electric starter, the engine also features a kick starter pedal and an electrolytic capacitor to permit starting even with no battery charge. Producing a maximum power of 6.8 ± 0.25 kW at 8000 ± 200 RPM and a maximum torque of 8.7 Nm at 6000 RPM, the engine boasts smoother, more flexible power delivery and is also Euro 3 compliant.
The frame of the Star 4-Stroke 125 cc Automatic consists of an electro welded tubular steel structure reinforcing the existing monocoque body and offering excellent torsional stiffness.
